Who Is Barry Jhay?

Oluwakayode Junior Balogun, also known popularly by the stage name, Barry Jhay, is a Nigerian song writer and singer, born  February 13 1993. He his known specifically for his traditional or dare i say cultural style of singing. Barry Jhay is the known of the popularly know Fuji artist, Ayinkinde Barrister.

Barry Jhay Biography

Oluwakayode Junior Balogun comes from a family that is musically endowed. Even his grand father is known to be the inventor of Fuji music. Barry started music at a young age, but he gain recognition in 2018 after he released a single titled Aiye.

The song saw him gain so many recognitions and award, the following year he won the heading rookie of the year award, an award he deserved truly. Barry Jhay always says music is more than just singing, that music ought to tell your soul a story, and that what he thrives to do at all time.

A few years ago Barry  was taken into custody for questioning on the death of his manager Kashy. Kashy lost his his life minutes after having a brawl with Barry, afterwards, fingers pointed at Barry Jhay.

However, after proper investigations where made, sources confirmed that indeed Kashy jumped down on his own and his death was a suicide. Evidence even confirmed that Oluwakayode Junior Balogun had actually left Kashy’s apartment minutes before he jumped.

He has been cleared of all charges and indeed we are sad to see Kashy gone. Barry Jhay felt bad following the death of Kashy, he even release a farewell song for Kashy, title “rest on Kashy”.
