Who Is Asake?

Ahmed Ololade, also know as Mr Money, or as the world recognizes, simply Asake. Asake is a Nigerian afrobeat songwriter and music writer, born 13 January 1995, he hails from Lagos State, Nigerian.

Asake’s Biography

Ahmed Ololade attended Obafemi Awolowo University, in Ile-Ife, Osun State where he studied theatre and performing art. He had long had the love for music but never seemed to quite get the hang of it, at least not until 2018 where he started making waves in Lagos.

Asake quickly caught the eyes of so many record label but he held back on joining any official record as he had his eyes set on bigger glory. In 2020, Asake releases a banger titled “Omo Ope”, a song which till this very day, is still well known.

After this song continued to gain ground, the likes of Olamide were impressed and he even contacted Asake to do a remix for the song. According to Asake, he bust to joy seeing that the almighty Olamide was impressed by his talent.

In 2020, Asake signed for YBNL Nation and Empire Distribution, and till this day, he still remain with these record label, dropping hits back to back. Ahmed Ololade claimed that his inspiration for music was his mother whose name was Asake, he further stated that his stage name pay homage to her.
