Rev. Fr. Emmanuel M.P. Edeh is a great man with lots of accolades to his name. He is a native of Enugu State, Nigeria. His first degree was in Divinity from Bigard Memorial Seminary in 1976. He got another degree in Philosophy as well as a Master’s and Ph.D. in the same field of philosophy from De Paul University Illinois, United States of America.

As a passionate man for knowledge, he went further to acquire a professional certificate in Clinical Pastoral Education from Loyola University Medical Centre, USA. After the Nigeria Civil War in 1985, Fr. Edeh dedicated his ministry to serving the humanities. He has helped with enlightening and empowering victims of wars, terrorists, and natural disasters.

He is the pioneer of the Catholic Prayer Ministry of the Holy Spirit in Elele, Rivers State. Since the inception of this ministry for decades, it is still standing to date. He is also in charge of the Pilgrimage Centre of Eucharistic Adoration and the Contemplatives of Jesus and Saviour for the Monks and Nuns respectively.

As an educator, he is the founder of several universities and schools in Nigeria such as Madonna University, Caritas University, Osisateth Polytechnic, and many other educational centers outside Nigeria. Also, Fr. Edeh oversees homes and health centers for orphans, the disabled, and the mentally unstable. He is an activist who lays emphasis on Girl Child Education to enforce transformation in society.

In addition, he has various publications and books he has written to share his wisdom with the public. In his book ‘Igbo Metaphysics’, he depicts the love of God for a man using African Philosophy, and why it is important for us as humans to also reciprocate such love to one another.
