Adeola is a Nigerian chef residing in Ondo State, who is currently on a quest to achieve a new record for a 150 hours cooking marathon tagged “Deocookathon” on the Guinness Book of Records. She is a graduate of ESAE University, Cotonou, Benin Republic. Adeola stated her intentions to set a new record on 22 June 2023 via her social media platform.

It sprouted a lot of controversial statements and opinions on her proposed attempt to partake on a Cook – a – thon. Following the attempt of the Ekiti-based Chef Damilola Adeparusi, popularly known as Chef Dammy who completed a 120 hours cooking marathon in June. Which was not acknowledged as it was not registered with GWR.

Adeola took it as an inspiration to partake in setting a new record. By May 2023, Hilda Baci a Nigerian Chef from Akwa Ibom and based in Lagos State became the first Nigerian to attempt a cooking marathon and set a new record for 93 hours 11 minutes on GWR.

After the achievement of Hilda Baci, numerous Nigerians have begun to attempt set new records on GWR. On 30 June, she started her Deocookathon at TMF Lounge and Bar, Ile Oluji, Ondo State. According to her, “She is well prepared and ready to set a record for herself”. She called on the support and cheers of fellow Nigerians so she can be able to finish the race.
