Oladips’s Biography

Like many other artists, Oladipupo Olabode Oladimeji or OlaDips started music at a tender age. He picked up interest while he was just 16 years old. Fund of doing rap battles with his friends even while they were just chatting.

He attended the University of Jos, Plateau State where he graduated with a degree in Economics. And while he was schooling, he was also chasing his dream of being a well-known rapper.

In 2015, OlaDips participated in a competition organized by D Banj, The King Is Here. This competition was a rap contest and not surprised, he won this competition, which saw him gain massive attention.

As his fanbase grew, he started attracting many record labels. Particularly, YBNL and Edge Record (LRR) were the top contenders to sign this promising young lad.

However, YBNL pulled out from the deal as Olamide who is the owner changed his mind. He claimed that OlaDips’s style of music was the same as Chinko Ekun’s and that the record label only needed one.

OlaDips went on to sign for Edge Record (LRR) which is owned by Reminisce. Although recent info stated that there was an internal feud between him and his record label so he is no longer with Edge Record (LRR).
